Brooklyn College Students are being praised for their outstanding work

EPIC 4 Autism Documentaries

MFA Candidates Zubaira Ahmed, Jhaelyn Arteaga, and Edyta Zachara worked collaboratively to create a series of short documentaries promoting EPIC Players, a non-profit, neuro-inclusive theater company dedicated to creating professional performing arts opportunities for artist living with developmental disabilities.

Their work screened at the EPIC 4 AUTISM: Songs from the Spectrum Spring Benefit, at the HBO Theater at HBO Headquarters in Midtown Manhattan.

“The purpose of the class project was to make a documentary/promo for a non-profit organization that could use the exposure through film.” says MFA candidate Zubaira Ahmed. “When we met with EPIC Players, the three of us came up with a plan on what we wanted the film to portray. Our purpose was to empower the neuro-diverse community at EPIC Players. We wanted to give them an opportunity to share their narrative and to show the talent that they've nurtured at the organization.”
